Start of Term 2
Devonport High School will be open tomorrow (Monday 4th May) with students working from home except for those students whose parent/s & guardian/s are essential workers or for those that do not have supervision at home.
Those students who will be working from home, please remember that you will be following your normal day to day timetable. Each lesson will start at its normal time, in CANVAS with a ‘Conference’ set up by your teacher. Your teacher will take you through each lesson’s tasks/requirements. The teacher will stay online for the duration of the lesson for any questions/help that you may need.
Those students who will be attending school onsite next week, please bring with you a laptop/tablet/surface device, if you have one (plus headphones), and it’s charging cable. If you do not have one, your Block 1 teacher will arrange for you to borrow one each day. We will be starting on Monday with a short, social distancing, stand up assembly. Mr Bird will run through some clear guidelines and expectations for being onsite. The only doors that will be open into the school for students will be those from the Western Entrance (soccer ground side). Each time you come inside, please responsibly use the hand sanitising station that will be set up just inside the door.
We look forward to seeing all of our students, online or face-to-face, and more importantly, getting back into learning!
